Elderly Protective Services
As an agency under the auspices of GOEA, the Jackson Council on Aging has entered into an interagency agreement with the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Department to provide these services.
ELIGIBILITY FOR ELDERLY PROTECT SERVICES:
- Age 60 and older
- Alleged to be abused or neglected, financially exploited by caregivers or others who have assumed this responsibility or unable to provide for his or her own well-being, which results in damage to health and safety.
- Unable to protect himself from abuse, neglect or financial expoitation
- Unable to carry out daily activities because of age, physical or mental disability.
